Data you provide to us
- Account creation: first name, last name, email address, password (stored in encrypted form and never readable by our team).
- Registration forms (delegation leader or delegate): identity, country, church or organisation, contact details, and any information you choose to provide.
- Contact form: name, email address and the content of your message.
- Newsletter sign-up: email address.
- Payment: banking details are entered directly with our payment provider and never pass through our servers. We only keep the payment record and its status.
Data collected automatically
- IP address, browser and device type, operating system.
- Pages viewed, date and time of visit, time spent.
- Selected language, so the site can be shown to you in the right version.
3. Why we use this data
- Create and manage your participant account.
- Process your conference registration and payment.
- Send you practical information about your participation (confirmations, programme, instructions).
- Reply to enquiries sent through the contact form.
- Send you our newsletter, only if you have consented to it.
- Keep the site secure and prevent fraud and intrusion attempts.
- Understand, in aggregate form, how the site is used so we can improve it.
4. Our legal basis
- Performance of a contract: managing your registration and participation in the conference.
- Consent: newsletter and non-essential cookies. You may withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interest: site security and service improvement.
- Legal obligation: retention of accounting records relating to payments.
5. Who your data is shared with
We never sell or rent your personal data. It may only be passed to the providers strictly necessary for the service to work:
- Our hosting provider, for secure storage of the site and database.
- Our email provider, for confirmation messages and the newsletter.
- Our payment provider, for secure processing of transactions.
- The competent authorities, where required by law.
6. How long we keep it
- Participant account: as long as your account is active, then 3 years after your last login.
- Conference registration data: 3 years after the edition concerned.
- Payment records: 10 years, in line with accounting obligations.
- Contact messages: 2 years after the last exchange.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
7. Cookies
The site uses cookies to keep your session open while you are logged in, remember your language, operate the cart and booking process, and measure traffic anonymously. You can delete or block cookies at any time from your browser settings, bearing in mind that some site features, including logging into your account, will then stop working.
8. How your data is protected
- All communication with the site is encrypted (HTTPS).

This site is not intended for people under 16. A minor wishing to attend the conference must be registered by a parent, legal guardian or their delegation leader.

Some of our technical providers may host data outside Senegal, in particular within the European Union. In such cases we ensure that they offer a level of protection equivalent to that required by the applicable regulations.
